Ed and Karen live in the UK. She is beautiful and elegant and he is a real gentleman with a rock’n’roll soul. One of the things they share is their profound love for Italy. In fact, their dream was to organise a Destination Wedding in Venice, one of the most unique places on Earth. This city is one of its kind, with a historic centre surrounded by water passages and crossed by waterways; the surroundings that truly encourage to organise an Italian wedding straight from a fantasy. So they did!
Ed and Karen contacted Giada Marcuzzi to plan their wedding, which was the best possible choice – Giada is an expert in the field, whose qualifications and experience make her a perfect wedding planner. I, myself had the pleasure to work with her on sets of the same-sex wedding in Florence and a beautiful destination wedding in Puglia.
Their special day was also planned in every detail. The ceremony took place in a City Hall of Venice and it was followed by a romantic tour of the city in the iconic gondola. We stopped by the Rialto Bridge to make it a frame of a passionate kiss and then arrived to San Marco Square to take pictures with guests. When the wedding reception started for good, we were witnessing a truly magical sunset, caressing us with warm and soft light.
I’m really honoured that I could be a part of this wedding and take pictures of Karen, Ed and their family and friends. They really made me feel a part of a family and for this I’m incredibly thankful.
Thank you, Ed and Karen! Thank you, Venice!
